For a first visit to Lake Como I always recommend the boat cruise: travelling this way you can see the whole lake without having to think about parking. The hydrofoil back from Bellagio costs extra.

The Ritrovo car park is a minute’s walk from where the boat leaves and costs €1 for the whole day. Right next to it is the Gran Mercato supermarket, where you can pick up something fresh for the journey.
